We Love The Benefits Of Palmetto Buffalo Turf & So Will You

If you’re looking for a new type of turf for your lawn, then we may just have the perfect one to recommend for you. You see, we’re a really big fan of Palmetto and with good reason.

We’ll take you through some of its features and benefits so that you can decide as to whether or not it’s ideal for what you’re looking for.

It’s got a gorgeous colour

One of the best things about having a lawn is enjoying the gorgeous green throughout the year. Certain types of turf don’t hold their colour very well, but Palmetto Buffalo turf certainly does.

Admittedly, this turf does have an average winter colour. However, as soon as spring comes back around, it will regain its gorgeous, deep colour. Then, of course, it holds it throughout the summer, allowing you to enjoy a rich colour for the large majority of the year.

It’s a diverse and durable turf

Palmetto will do very well in extreme temperatures and lasts in the sun. It can even do relatively well in shaded areas. That said, it will need between 2 and 4 hours of direct sunlight every day in order to thrive.

It’s easy to maintain

There are few people who thoroughly enjoying mowing their lawn. And if you do, then you must be a madman! But good for you. The beauty in the Palmetto Buffalo turf, however, is that it requires very little in the way of mowing at all.

Yes, it does spread across the ground rather quickly, but its upward growth is relatively tame.

It’s deep roots also mean that the turf is relatively drought resistance. You will need to water your grass, but it won’t need as much as most other strains. That said, it’s important to keep it well-fed with the occasional hose down. Or of course, if you’d prefer you can set up a convenient, timed irrigation system

In addition to less mowing and its drought resistance, Palmetto also experiences much less weed growth. Due to the fact that the turf is incredibly dense, it’s much harder for weeds to grow through the surface. Yes, weed will occasionally develop, however it will be much easier for you to maintain and deal with when it occurs.

Enjoy the summer months

Now that we’re coming into summer, it’s the perfect time to establish some new turf on your lawn. Invest in some rolls from a reputable supplier and then follow the instructions.

With some fertiliser and a bit of water, you can have a gorgeous and dense lawn in no time! That way, you and your family can enjoy spending more time in the garden and grounding yourself with nature. You’ll certainly not regret it if you do!
